I always tell people that I have the best job.

Every wedding I photograph is a privilege. I am inspired by the emotion, beauty and details of your wedding day. As a photojournalist my goal is to create art, naturally. I am passionate about capturing life as it unfolds, rather than interrupting a moment to pose people. I take the necessary time for requested formals, but find fleeting moments to be the most powerful images.
I could not ask for a more fulfilling profession.

I was born in London, England and my family moved to the United States before I was a year old. I grew up in Southwest Michigan and graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors of Arts. After college I moved around the United States, but settled back in Michigan. I worked in marketing for many years and in 1999 found myself searching for something more. I rediscovered photography. I have been a shutterbug since I was a child, but I didn't study photography until I was in my twenties. I have been a wedding photographer since 2001 and have found my passion.

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm traveling the world and photographing different cultures. Click on McKinney Foto to view my work from around the globe.
The rest of my free time is spent living life to the fullest! I enjoy good food and wine with family and friends. I also like to read, practice yoga and volunteer.
